We moved, and it was a BIG one. We thought we’d be in Tennessee forever, but a huge shift came and changed the trajectory of our entire lives.
Where did we move?
We left the rolling hills and lush green of Nashville and headed back to our roots in Southern Utah. The best way to assure you will do something is to say “Never will I ever”. I had no intention of coming back to Utah. I loved where we were in Nashville area, and felt like it was a Utopia for our family. But life has a way of keeping you on your toes, and I’m still catching my breath after this major change.
WHY did we move?
After over six years of us working exclusively for ourselves and building online businesses, we not only moved, we changed the way we earn income. Not entirely, as I am still working in my business and we still have our marketing agency work and clients. But Ben decided to get a job again, working for the local University as their Director of Arts Programming. He has his own theater to manage and is extremely happy working and doing what he loves.
What’s next for our business?
This huge change from moving across the country and going back to a traditional 9-5 working dad lifestyle has some serious ripple effects. I am growing more intentional with everything I do, and finding my footing in my business. We separated our businesses months ago, in anticipation of this change, and so that we could independently create what we needed to. Moving forward I will continue to serve my amazing marketing clients and continue offering my Quiz VIP days, as well as preparing to launch a new program available to the masses!
What have I learned?
There are far too many lessons to pack into one post or podcast, but I have learned that you have to trust promptings when they come. I have discovered that being in alignment is far more important than digging your heels in and staying committed to a plan or lifestyle that just isn’t fitting anymore. I’ve learned that when you honor your partner and make sacrifices for them, the entire relationship grows. I have learned that business isn’t life, and that I am a person with an identity outside of success in business.
